Why Should I Volunteer to Work with Habitat for Humany

Non-proselytizing policy
Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations will not proselytize. Nor will HFH work with entities or individuals who insist
on proselytizing as part of their work with HFH. This means that HFH will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must
adhere to or convert to a particular faith or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.

Habitat News

We have completed a garage renovation for House #8. This included a new roof, improved mechanical support, and new siding. An access door and new garage door was added also. This involved a lot of volunteers and their work was much appreciated.

Since November 2017 all our houses are occupied and doing well. House #8 is the latest one. It is our first house with the new more open design. Future houses will encompass this or similar design as it maximized useful living space. This year Union County Habitat will not build a new house due to logistical reasons. We remain committed to helping people with their housing needs. We will be doing Brush with Kindness projects as our primary focus. These include improving handicap access to homes and renovation that would enhance the livability or existing older homes for those in need.

The new officers for Union  County Habitat for Humanity 2018-19 are:
President:  Jim Mansour
Vice-President:   Chuck Taylor
Secretary:  Lisa Wilkinson
Treasurer:  Phyllis Allen
